Our Engineering department is creating a strong foundation of skills and we are therefore looking for a Lead Engineer who will be involved in all phases of vehicle development projects.
Description
You will be part of the Powertrain & Chassis department. In this department 5 groups exist, which the Thermal Management and HVAC Systems Team is one. The group is constructed of 5 different areas, these are CFD/Thermal CAE, Thermal Systems, Interior HVAC, Electrical Hardware and Logic.
Chassis and Powertrain is one organization covering the development and integration of principally all systems and components that govern vehicle motion any direction, e.g. wheel suspension, steering, braking and propulsion. As a certain vehicle motion is typically affected by a multitude of systems and components it is of utmost importance, that the associated functions are treated in a coordinated and multidisciplinary approach from the very beginning of projects.
As a Lead Engineer you will:
- Have a product development responsibility for HVAC and Thermal System, system architect, cooling system including cooling of the battery, attribute, interfaces towards other systems, testing etc.
- Provide a supporting role within the group, to applicable component owners, for definition, assessment, and approval of the complete thermal system.
- Lead supporting engineer(s) with responsibility, task setting, and prioritization within areas of responsibility
- Maintain responsibility through the complete product lifecycle, including advanced development, industrialization development, production, and service stages.
- Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce cost.
- Evaluate the feasibility of new proposals and products and support future product planning activities.
- Be responsible for the development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-year history working with product development and product sourcing
- Team leading experience, minimum 2 years is required
- A thorough understanding of powertrain integration and powertrain related parts.
- Driver license B.
Excellent knowledge and skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
