description
The Composites Manufacturing
area within the Saab Aerostructures Engineering Department is responsible for
the Industrialization of composite components of the Gripen fighter, as well as
the Saab Aerostructures work packages for external customers such as Airbus and
Boeing. The area have competence in a wide composite industrialisation field,
such as:
Composite Manufacturing Engineers
Composite Tooling Engineers
Manufacturing Process Simulation Engineers
Material and Process Engineers
Non Destructive Testing Engineers
Research and Development Operators
Composite Repair Operators
The Lead
Composites Manufacturing Engineer has the operational responsibility for the
industrialization of the composite product, and approve the design from a
manufacturing engineering point of view.
We currently need
Lead Composites Manufacturing Engineers for some of our products, both Saab
internal products as well as work packages for external customers.
The job includes:
Day-to-day management of a composite
manufacturing engineering team
Technical responsibility for a
specific product
Coordination and communication with
the customer (can be Saab Aerosystems or an external customer) regarding composite
manufacturing engineering issues
Responsible for ensuring that
adequate and approved methods and data are used.
Qualifications
For this position we require
engineers with 10+ years of experience from composite manufacturing engineering in the aerospace business, and a
strong will to continue to develop their skills within the area.
We are looking for engineers that are excellent team players and that are easy
to work with. Experience from leading a group of 5-10 engineers is a merit, as
is experience of technical communication with customers, partners and
suppliers.
The place of work is mainly Linköping, but during conceptual phases we
frequently have project teams on-site at our customers (mainly Airbus and
Boeing), and therefore an interest for spending periods abroad is also valuable.
