IES follows the Swedish curriculum and school law but teach and assess up to 50% of these subjects in English. We are a team of educators that are dedicated to providing fun and meaningful education in a safe and calm environment. Our goal is to challenge every student to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.
IES offers a positive and international working environment. The school's leadership team work together with staff and students to create the best possible school. The team of teachers support each other and cooperate in lesson planning, mentor ship and in helping each other to develop as teachers.

About the school and IES:
In Jönköping we opened with 300 students in August 2009 and have been very fortunate to enjoy a lot of success. We have grown in size each year and in August 2014 we have approximately 830 students in years 1-9, making this the largest compulsory school in Jönköping County. In 2012 we were one of the first 8 schools in Sweden who started running a special advanced education (Spetsutbildning) approved by Skolverket.
Internationella Engelska Skolan is a leading independent school group ("friskola"), reaching academic results far above average.
