Our two years Trainee Program is designed to develop young graduates professionally and personally in a global business in the automotive industry. Graduates will be offered a challenging job, cross functional training and a personal development plan.
The Trainee Program provides you with valuable knowledge, experience and networks that will increase your technical and professional skills, as well as your business understanding. After completing the program, our Trainees have excellent (international) career opportunities. When you start as a Trainee, you are offered a permanent employment in KA.
Who are you?
During the Trainee Program, you will work in one of the following departments; R&D, Purchasing or Operations/Production , depending on your qualifications and interest, and KA's needs. In one of these departments will be your starting point in KA and your "home-base" during the Trainee Program. Therefore it is very important that you have/are:
• Master in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Engineering Cybernetics, Industrial Economics, or another relevant area, and a strong academic record?
• Ambitious, a targeted team player, with the potential to become a leader.
• Good comprehension of English and Swedish, as well as international experience.
We offer you
We will provide you with an individual development plan and you will receive guidance how to develop as a person. In addition to your coach you will be assigned a mentor. The coach will help you to utilize the possibilities that the KA traineeship offers; while the mentor, a director or senior manager with long experience and a solid network within KA, will help you with your personal and professional development.
A personal development seminar and teambuilding session is also included in the program.
First year
The first year in the program is designed to give you in-depth expertise in one function - your "home-base" department - and your direct manager will be your coach. You will be able to work in different roles and you will be given the sole responsibility for a project, as well as other practical challenges. Together with your fellow Trainees, you will be given an introduction to other departments and business areas through training, seminars and meetings. You will have monthly meetings with your Trainee Coordinator, an experienced manager who will follow you though the program. During the later part of the first year you will as an observer participate in management meetings as well as in strategy seminars for your business area.
Second year
In your second trainee year you will get the possibility to work in another functional area and you will attend cross-functional trainings in Production, Finance, Market, Production, Purchasing, Quality and R&D. The intention is to give you a more comprehensive business understanding of KA through workshops and meetings with mangers from all business areas.
Knowledge transfer from our experienced senior management and specialists plays an important role in our program and is important to make the program successful.
You will have the opportunity to meet with our CEO, CFO plus many other corporate managers. These meetings will also provide you with an important network for your future career in KA.
Working abroad
You'll be given the opportunity to work 3-4 months in one of our facilities abroad. This will be an opportunity for you to work in, live in and learn about another culture and another country.

For 2015 we are looking for 3 new Trainees within R&D, Purchasing and Operations/Production, to be located in Sweden.

The trainee program will start in August/September.
