Asset Optimization and Trading (AOT) is the Business Division where all asset optimization and trading activities are centralized for the Vattenfall Group. We are located in multiple sites across Europe with more than 600 professionals working from Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Poland. We trade the full range of energy commodities and take responsibility for a diversified sourcing of power, fuels and carbon credits. We optimize and hedge Vattenfall's generation assets in order to manage risk efficiently and optimize the portfolio value. These activities are the basis for maximizing profitability and ensuring continuous business growth for Vattenfall and its customers.
Vattenfall Energy Trading (VET), the fast growing front-end business unit of AOT, is one of the leading energy trading and merchant businesses in Europe. Our multi-cultural trading team consists of more than 150 highly dedicated and skilled energy experts, primarily Traders, Analysts and Originators. We generate maximum business value whilst providing tailor-made energy risk products, services and solutions in the area of energy commodity trading & market access, fundamental and technical market analysis, asset hedging and directional trading strategies for the entire Vattenfall Group.

As a Junior Trading Analyst you will be offered:

Requirements:
• Outstanding university degree in mathematics, engineering, business administration, economics or related subjects
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to adopt and learn fast
• Excellent interpersonal skills of a young team-player
• Good programming skills (VBA, VB, SQL)
• Stress-resistant and used to work under time-pressure
• High degree of responsibility and reliability
• Self-starter with the ability to motivate yourself and others
