Volvo Cars IT - Product Development & Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for all applications supporting the development of new cars and their manufacturing processes. We work closely together with the business and we actively participate in taking Volvo Cars into a leading position of automotive development. We are an experienced team of employees managing application development, maintenance and support.

The group CAD/PDM Technical Solutions is now looking for an experienced individual to take a role as IT application manager within the CAD and PDM area

VCC is in an expansive period and we are looking for you that can contribute and be a part of our IT team.

Background

KDP (KonstruktionsData Personvagnar) is the central IT system for PDM (Product Data Management) at Volvo Cars. The information in KDP is used through all business areas. This creates high demands on functionality and availability on the system.
It has during the past 30 years been developed continuously for new business demands.

Job Description:

As an IT Application manager (ITAM) for KDP you will be responsible for maintenance of KDP and for new development activities in the area.
You will be a key resource to drive the applications as well as the business forward.
You are the main link for service deliveries between IT and business.

Your will be responsible for:

Being a Subject Matter of Expert (SME) of solution by having core business process and KDP knowledge within the functional area
Maintenance
Governs enhancements
Solutions towards outsourcing partners

Job Requirements

Deep knowledge of our business processes and PDM possibilities is required.
Competence to understand business demands and requirements together with good knowledge to describe and visualize the IT delivery.
Work experience from Volvo Cars and with PDM applications
Extensive knowledge in the PDM area
Strong Customer Orientation
Understands Day to Day IT operations

Personal Profile:

University degree in either Engineering, Business Administration or an IT related topic
Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
Good communicating skills, including a high level in spoken and written English.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment with IT-tools/Systems development.
Strong business orientation.
