Service Development & Architecture (SDA) deliver competitive advantage to Volvo Cars through new products, solutions and services delivered by world-class project execution. We deliver products, solutions and services ensuring fast and nimble development and implementation.
SDA is now searching for a Project Manager, passionate about running projects and/or programs to deliver business value. You will be a part of a team that appreciate inclusiveness, engagement and a good spirit together with all stakeholders involved in our assignments. You must be able to effectively drive projects to maximize the potential benefits within given time and resources. You will also need to collaborate with other teams and functions to secure the project's success within a fast-paced and global context. Experience from driving digital transformation projects and/or product development is valuable.
As we are continuously evolving our tools, methods and guidelines, we see experience of delivering projects within an agile context as positive. Working experience of explorative ways-of-working in conjunction with frameworks such as DevOps/Continous Delivery, SAFe or related concepts are seen as very valuable. A person with the courage to question the status quo and respectfully drive change will be able to prosper and develop at Volvo Cars.
As a project manager at SDA you will have excellent opportunities to work in a diversity of projects and programs with a wide variety of challenges at a high pace in a positive and global environment.
Required qualifications:
* Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
* Profound knowledge in project management methodologies with proven ability to manage projects in complex and global environments
* Experience working with information technology projects
* Strong communication skills and ability to deal with various stakeholders such as IT management, suppliers and business contacts
Beneficial qualifications:
* Automotive experience
* Knowledge of software delivery processes such as for example Agile/Scrum, DevOps, XP or other.
* Experience of product development within an IT context
* Experience from other verticals with a focus on consumer experience
Personal qualities:
* Good organization and time management skills.
* Self-motivated and results oriented
* Excellent communication skills
* Good business acumen
* Structured and analytical
* Willingness to travel
