We are seeking an Interim Manager who is not only a visionary but also a hands-on leader, capable of steering a dynamic, multidisciplinary team to new heights. In this role, you will lead a highly skilled team of automation engineers, production technicians, and design engineers dedicated to developing state-of-the-art machines, innovative technical features, and advanced processes that will shape the future of technology integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership and Team Development: Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of technology development projects, from initial concept through to the first prototype, ensuring seamless progression and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Cutting-Edge Innovation: Drive the design, testing, and optimization of pilot equipment, ensuring that all developed machines meet the highest standards of reliability before transitioning to large-scale production.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate closely with various departments, including product development and operations, to initiate, plan, and monitor the development of new technologies and machinery.
• Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the development process.
• Portfolio Management: Manage the technical development project portfolio, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, while maintaining personnel oversight and driving project success.
About the Assignment:
This is a unique interim role with a duration of 6 months or longer, starting as soon as possible. You will be supporting a leading company in the FMCG sector, based in the heart of Gothenburg, that is committed to delivering groundbreaking products and expanding its global footprint. As the company scales its operations and development plans, your strategic insights and leadership will be pivotal in driving this growth.
Your Profile:
• Educational Background: A BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Industry Experience: Several years of experience in leadership roles within product development, ideally within the FMCG industry or similar sectors such as food, pharmaceuticals, or material development.
• Cross-Functional Expertise: Proven experience in managing international, cross-functional projects within complex organizations. Demonstrated ability as a change leader is highly valued.
• Strategic and Flexible: Ability to define and execute strategic plans while remaining adaptable and open to change.
• Communication Mastery: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish are essential, with the ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
