The Industrial Design and Human factors office is an internationally awarded specialist competence team with global responsibility for Industrial design, Ergonomics, UX design and surface design within the Atlas Copco Industrial Technique Business Area. We are a diverse team around 20 people and work in close collaboration with the developing units in Sweden, Italy, Germany, UK and the US. We are now looking to extend the team with one industrial designer.
Job description
As an Industrial designer you will work with the design of the products, be part of implementing and developing our design language within the Atlas Copco Industrial Technique business area. Important part of your work will be to understand the user and interpreting this into product concepts. You will work in projects in close collaboration with engineers, surface engineers and ergonomics specialists. You'll produce concepts, ideation and digital underlays for the projects you'll be involved in. The job requires travel as our customers and developing units are located all over the world.
Experience
We are looking for a highly talented and experienced industrial designer to join our award winning team. You will work in an advanced project development environment of physical and digital products. You have a documented participation in working with the design process in projects, innovation, applying of design language to products, understanding customers and doing user research with successful implementation in projects.
Educational requirements
You hold a Master of Industrial design or equivalent. Fluency in Swedish and English is required, both written and spoken and other languages are meriting. You have excellent experience in using 3D and 2D programs such as Adobe CS, Rhino, Key Shot and hold strong sketching skills.
Personality requirements
You are a dedicated, self-driven and engaging person who in a professional way can present your thoughts and inspire others with them. You have a superior aesthetic eye for details and can transform this into visual concepts. You are good at collaborating, multi task, promote an open minded culture and demonstrate creativity.
