About this opportunity:
BNEW SAN Lab Operations provides world class lab infrastructure, networks and HW Services to the R&D organizations. Through our standardized solutions and services, we enable our stakeholders to configure and deploy design and test environments. We provide engineering IT environments supporting more than 23 000 R&D engineers and operate ~50 000 square meters of labs at our sites in Lindholmen, Linköping, Lund and Stockholm in Sweden and globally through the sites in Aachen, Athlone, Budapest, China, Genoa, Jorvas, Ottawa, Pagani and Piscataway.
We are now looking for an ICT RF Engineer for the Lab Operations unit in Stockholm. We are a team with a wide range of competence that together supports our Research & Development (R&D) organization with configuration and fix of the tools and the RF environment to facilitate for the R&D organization to develop the mobile network. Within the team we work together with good team spirit, but we also have our different expertise- and responsibility areas. You will interact with internal stakeholders to define and provide solutions in the RF area and work with continuous improvement of the solutions/services to the agreed service levels in a cost efficient and timely manner. What you will do:
Verify of Node configuration from Cell and Frequency Planning point of view
Verify all the RF connections in the Test Setups
Supervise CCN servers and GPS signal
Create of Cell and Frequency plan for the Test setups
Passive RF Component testing
EMF Measurements in time intervals
Create User documentation related to Test setups
Co-ordinate with Multi-functional Teams
Provide CCN functionality and usage Training to Testers
RF interference Analysis and Troubleshooting
Provide RF related suggestions for Test setup builds
The skills you bring:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Experience: 2-4 years with Ericsson Radio Products and RF management
IT & Test Environment: Focus on hardware; knowledge of RAN architecture and radio testing
RF Integration: Configuration, validation, and integration of RF products in various network environments
SW Management: Licensing, upgrades, and backups
Networking Knowledge: Configuring equipment like CCN
Incident Handling: Case management for support requests
Documentation: Administration in systems; familiarity with Ericsson tools and databases is a plus
RF Knowledge: Understanding of RF leakage and technologies (2G/3G/LTE/NR)
Test Equipment: Experience with Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
RF Systems: Proficiency in RF coax systems, link budget calculations, and related measurements
Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and Lean practices
Communication: Strong written and oral English skills
Vetting including references and relevant background screening will be conducted for final candidates.
Primary location: Kista, Sweden.
