The role
We are looking for a HR Manager for our office in Stockholm. This role includes a responsibility to lead and drive human resource developments within MSF Sweden by working cross-functionally within the HR department to ensure coherence with HR processes and policies for our staff. Continuing the HR manager will work broadly within the human resource area and shall ensure quality advisory support within the area of change management, leadership development, working environment work and labour law matters towards our managers and employees which means being first point of contact for MSF Sweden's managers.

The HR function at MSF Sweden is transforming its business and interaction model to become more agile and have a greater impact while reducing complexity. We are simplifying our processes through digitalisation and incorporating future-oriented policies, processes and practices into the way we work and deliver people-centered and data-driven solutions.

You are reporting to the Human Resource director and are the line-manager of a team of four people and have staff responsibility and ensuring development of staff. In this role you are acting as deputy HR Director. Together with the Human Resource Director, you will lead the staff to work together to enable MSF employees through people solutions that inspire and add value and ensuring a smooth and attractive digitalisation change journey.

Main responsibilities

• Be accountable for recruiting of staff, in cooperation with the Recruiter, hiring mangers and other relevant stakeholder.

• Be responsible in designing and implementing MSFs accountabilities when it comes to staff health and well being for the MSF Sweden 's office and responsible employer, including but not limited to:

• Responsible for the creation, implementation, and follow-up of the employee survey, and take a leading role in follow-up of the recommendations with the respective managers.

• Leading and coordination of the Safety Committee Group and ensure its fullfilment and responsibility to monitor the systematic working environment work done by the Employer.

• Be accountable for the training and professional development of MSFs employees in cooperation with the L&D advisor, managers, and management team. You will make the most out of people's talents and help them develop to their full potential. At the same time, you keep a strong focus on learning offer, the learners' needs, but also on the needs of the organisation.

• Be a strategic advisor to management in HR strategic resource planning and forecasting, matters related to staff health, collaboration/co-operation, and re-organisations. Be part of making the HR function stronger and more agile, promoting and relying on well-developed HR analytics and HR systems

• Coach managers and employees in individual cases such as conflict management rehabilitation, labor law matters and goal setting & performance reviews.

• Be focal point for employee and labor relations when it comes to negotiation with the local union club regarding the collective bargaining agreement and HR processes. Including planning and coordination of information flow

• Strive for and facilitate purposeful and effective collaboration across the HR function

• Enable HR to optimize its contribution to and interactions with other business areas and key stakeholders such as Finance, IT services, Fundraising and Communication through the alignment of processes and technologies, and change initiatives

• Responsible for budget

We are looking for you with

• Strong commitment to MSFs principles and humanitarian values.

• Leadership and people management experience.

• Academic degree, preferably in HRM (or other relevant area) or equivalent proven experience.

• Minimum 5 years' experience of being a HR manager or HR Business Partner

• Experience of providing HR support to managers within the Human Resource area as well as strategic advice to senior management in all relevant HR matters.

• Expertise knowledge of Swedish Labour Law and good understanding of the Swedish context, preferably by previous work with HR in Sweden.

• Experience of working with the union and knowledge about Collective bargaining agreements.

• Proven experience of handling complex individual cases.

• Proven experience of chairing meetings as well as facilitating workshops.

• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

• Excellent user of common IT tools (including MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word)

To be successful in this role, you should have a high personal integrity and be strong in building relationships. You are a strong leader, who can set priorities and have excellent planning and organization skills.

• Swedish language skills, written and spoken

• Experience of working in an NGO

Employment terms and conditions

• Type of contract: Permanent contract

• Entry date: ASAP with consideration for notice period

• Goal oriented working time (37,5 hours/week is full time)

• Salary: 44 677 SEK/month The salary is set according to the MSF Sweden Salary policy. Previous work experience, in addition to the years of requirement, (minimum 2 years) in the same or highly similar role will give an additional 2,5 % or max 5 % salary increase (depending on length of experience). This will be evaluated and calculated if shortlisted for interview.
