Your role:
As our Head of Operations, you are expected to combine both managerial skills and technical leadership in an ever-growing company. We work with three main areas; Speed Photo, Speed Box, and Speed Megatec. Each area focusing on the different aspects that make us Speed International. As our Head of Operations you will have a leading voice in the company, where you will be working closely with our three Business Area Managers. You will have a wide range of responsibilities but will mainly focus on production, service, and purchasing. Your key responsibilities in these areas will be:
• Production: Responsible for the outsourced production of our photo booths, screens and storage lockers. You will work strategically with planning, sourcing, and streamlining of our production.
• Purchasing: Responsible for the main contact with our suppliers and ensure our planning of stock levels to secure future operations. You will also work towards optimizing prices for our components.
• Service: You will work very closely with our service manager, where your main responsibility will be to ensure a well-functioning service of our products.
The daily tasks consist of planning, aiming to optimize our purchasing and sourcing processes. Apart from this, you will as our Head of Operations, work to design a well-oiled organization and aim towards optimizing our production, purchasing and service. You will report to the CEO and be part of the management team.
Your profile:
To succeed in this role, we believe you have 7 years of relevant work experience. We also believe that you have extensive experience in working with production and purchasing at a smaller scale. We believe you to be a calm and collected person who has experience in implementing changes.
Additionally, we believe that you have:
• Experience in improving business and structuring measures in the short, medium, and long term.
• Leadership experience.
• Good communication skills.
• A knack for handling urgent matters here and now, but also aiming to build on long-term fixes.
Nice to have:
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Technical background.
The company:
We have a vision to give life to public spaces and simplify everyday life for people on the move. Today speed International consists of the business areas Speed Megatec, Speed Photo and Speed Box. We also have a daughter company in Speed Identity. We are specialists in various types of automated solutions in public environments. We are active in areas such as digital signage, vending machines, public Wi-Fi, photo booths, and various types of luggage lockers, mainly at travel centres. Being in the business for over 60 years has given us a greater knowledge in product and system development, installation, operation, monitoring and service. During the latest year we have started a transformation, digitalizing our business, building a brand around our products and increasing growth. Today we have a lot of new and exciting plans in the making, where we seek to expand at a fast pace.
We have most of our services in train stations, airports, bus stations and shopping malls in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark. Speed Box does also have a business in Spain, where you will find our storage lockers at local train stations bus terminals.
