We're currently looking for a Head of CIO Office, a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the CIO for SMS. This position requires a high level of professionalism, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex projects and tasks. Are you up for the challenge? Then we'd like to meet you!
Your mission
In this key position, you lead, guide and coach experienced IT leaders and professionals in the CIO office. You collaborate with various functions within SMS, SMS IT functions and teams on both division and Sandvik Group level. To develop and execute IT strategies, technology initiatives and projects that align and support our organization's goals and objectives, you collaborate closely with the CIO. You establish KPI's and metrics to assess the effectiveness of IT initiatives and the overall performance of the CIO office. You report to the CIO and are a valued member of our SMS IT management team.
Included in your detailed responsibilities:
Develop a clear vision for how technology can drive business growth and transformation.
Oversee day-to-day operations of the CIO's office, including managing communications and coordination's with our stakeholders.
Lead the adoption of new technologies and adapt to changes in the technology landscape.
Ensure that all administrative tasks are handled efficiently and effectively.
Long-term planning and ensuring effective utilization of our technology resources.
Assist in the management of various IT projects.
Monitor progress and manage risks.
The location for this position is preferably at the World Trade Center in Stockholm - this does not necessarily mean you need to reside in Stockholm. Other locations within our footprint in Europe could also be an option. We offer you a hybrid working schedule. Regular visits to our SMS offices and international travel are natural parts of the job.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience, a master's degree in these areas is considered beneficial. You have a strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure and emerging technologies. Experience of team management and taking leadership responsibilities is also part of your background - making you comfortable addressing and influencing senior management and other key stakeholders. A broad knowledge and understanding of the IT domain and agile ways of working is a must, as well as a natural interest in keeping yourself updated on emerging technologies while fostering an innovative use of technology across our organization. Working in a truly global company calls for excellent communication skills in English, verbally and in writing.
