Purpose of the Job

The Head of Business Control Volvo Financial Services EMEA is responsible for Analysis, Trending and Forecasting, from a strategic, financial and operational perspective within the EMEA Region. The role provides profound information and interpretation according to VFS Global reporting requirements, ensures a solid analysis to forecast the future development and controls business development and inherent KPIs. This individual is a key contributor to the execution of the business' strategy and driving business performance.

We offer leasing, installment financing, insurance solutions, rentals, repair and maintenance contracts, dealer financing and many other services, depending on the market. VFS EMEA has about 700 employees and we are present in 32 countries. We work closely with each Business Entity of the Volvo Group.

Key Responsibilities
• Leadership and development of the Financial Planning & Analysis activities in the Region, including updating VFS Global Finance Function on key topics
• Provide guidance and challenging the local businesses and functional areas in the development of their business plans and other business control activities
• Prepare and consolidate business plans including the fall operating plan, the spring strategic plan, the monthly rolling forecast and all additional forecasts requested by management
• Prepare and provide insight for the monthly Executive Management pack and Business Review material for Global meetings
• Support the month closing process as appropriate with focus on the analysis of commercial development
• Effective and concise analysis of the financial position of the business resulting in pro-active recommendations to business leaders with focus, but not limited to fees management, cost control, profitability measurement.
• Preparation and establishment of profitability targets and measures
• Responsible for accurancy of proforma reporting
• Monitor and analyze profitability development of markets, products and BAs
• Support in the management and analysis of underperforming markets or products
• Coordination of reserves modeling, compliance and governance. Coordination of statistical loss analyses to measure and report reserve adequacy
• Manage ad-hoc support and analysis supporting the Region President and VP, Finance and across other functions, Business Development and Risk Management and others in developing executive information, reporting and measurement for financial and non-financial data
• Develop and drive Business Intelligence capabilities in the Region. Steer and deliver reporting for internal and external purposes
• Provide support and assist VP, Finance and other finance functions (Capital Markets & Information Technology) where necessary
• Support of Business Development for the financial analysis of new markets and products
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Professional Experience
• BS/BA in Finance or related field is required
• Accounting certification is desirable (CIMA, ACCA etc..)
• 5 years of financial modeling, planning and business analysis experience, preferably within a financial services environment
• Back ground in strategic roles where there was a strong requirement for interpretation and business acuman

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Innovative problem solving and strong analytical and quantitative abilities
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with MS Office, with advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced knowledge of Hyperion preferred; Experience with SAP desired
• Developing remote none line management teams and ability and desire to work within and in support of a team ironment
