What you'll do
The Business Control & Analytics team is a key business driven function and responsible for a wide range of tasks, including business case modelling, the budget and forecast process, business analysis of actuals and variance. This position is pan-European, will cover all major markets and entail responsibilities such as:
* Responsibility for developing and enhancing the budget, forecast and follow up processes
* Perform variance analysis vs. prior years, budgets and plan. Understand results, identify drivers, communicate and advice on corrective actions
* Taking a key role in the finance team and across the business actively driving the development of business processes and procedures, methods, information and systems as well as strategies and action plans in order to improve business performance and company profitability
* Work closely together with the commercial team to develop the product and pricing based on understanding of customer behavior and profitability
* Work closely together with the operational team to develop efficient ways to provide the subscription services
* Leading a growing team of driven and professional colleagues.
* Serve as a business partner to senior management by contributing to the monthly management report assisting them in developing and evaluating customer, product and marketing initiatives as well as growth initiatives including geographic expansion etc
* Interact and ensure cross-functional teamwork with several stakeholders and take on a holistic view to facilitate better decision making
You will report to the Care by Volvo Chief Financial Officer. The job is located in Stockholm or HQ in Gothenburg.
Do you fit the profile?
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:
* Bachelor's degree in in Business and Finance or Engineering/physics. A MSc is preferred.
* 4-6 years finance and business experience with a great track record as a strategy consultant from tier 1 firm or business controller
* Experience in building complex models for business cases and business planning
* Track record and interest in building something new, not just maintaining existing processes
* Possess leadership qualities and interest. Formal leadership experience is a plus.
* Experience with reporting and presenting information to senior management and ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner
* Ability and interest in dealing with large sets of data. Previous experience with SQL, or a similar query language, is a plus but not a requirement
* Fluent in English, speaking and writing
To be successful in this positon, we believe you are able to take accountability both for your direct area of expertise as well as the success of the team. Your ability to be analytical in order to develop and utilize statistical models will be a great help here.
