The Talent and Competence Manager has global responsibility to proactively drive a number of talent and competence management initiatives and activities to contribute to employee motivation, retention and engagement within GTO. They also act as a relationship manager and take the lead to coordinate the implementation of talent and competence initiatives and activities for a number of operational / functional units strengthening the talent and competence function?s contribution to the overall business.

Mission:
GTO is an organisation based on competence and it is vital that we both develop as well as manage it.

The role of talent and competence is to develop the GTO competence platform in line with our strategic objectives. You will have the opportunity of working in a global environment on both a strategic and operational level. You will work very closely with our line organization and GTO HR professionals.

The major task will be to further develop, standardize and align the competence process within GTO. You will translate Volvo Group Talent Management and Competence Development strategy, defined by Corporate HR, into aligned plans and actions and ensure their delivery in the business. This function will work closely with Corporate HR and the different Centers of Expertise (CoE). You will be a key player in coaching and working through others ensuring collaboration within GTO.

• Listen and identify key issues and seek for creative and effective solutions for the benefit of the business as a whole.
