Volvo Buses is now seeking a Group Manager for Electrical Architecture within Electrical & Software Architecture Development who has the drive and passion to contribute to Volvo buses profitability and who sees that the key to success is to develop the organization and its people in meeting future challenges. Platform Development is a function within Global Bus Technology (GBT) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for developing platform solutions within the areas of Chassis Body in white, Body, Powertrain and Electrical. The main sites are located in Sweden and Brazil.
The Electrical & Software Architecture Department has the mission to develop the electrical system through concept phases up to serial production and maintenance while optimizing demands on quality, deliveries, cost and features (QDCF).
The team is responsible for Electrical Architecture, Active Safety, Telematics and Functional development. Integration and development in close cooperation with GTT and external suppliers.
To archive successful deliveries and follow the strategies we have a near collaboration with function Owners, Node Owners and System owners within VBC.
The size of the group is about 16 engineers. Some important challenges for the group are to secure competence broadening, strengthen and increase the teamwork within and outside the organization and work to improve efficiency by model based development and agile way of working in SW projects.
Build a platform for new architecture and for coming technology development Connectivity automation and electromobility.
Main tasks:
Coach your team to deliver start cost, maintenance and advanced engineering projects according to quality, delivery, cost and feature targets
Define, agree, communicate and execute strategies and targets for the department
Develop the team and the people to support future challenges contributing to Volvo Buses profitability
In this position you will also be part of the Electrical & Software Architecture management team, and report to Electrical & Software Architecture Department manager.

You get motivated by working with development of people, operations and product and taking advantage of the full diversity of the team. If you have experience from leader positions it is an advantage.
