We are looking for a Group Financial Controller with great interest in the area of equity to be part of Group Financial Reporting Legal (JRL).
Group Financial Reporting Legal (JRL) is one of the departments within Corporate Control which is responsible for group accounting, consolidation and follow-up of the financial statements of the Scania group. Deliveries from our department include reports and analysis of financial performance of the Scania group to Scania's CFO and executive board as well as reporting to the parent company Traton AG and also financial reports to the market. Our work demands qualitative, timely and relevant financial information. The location for this position is at Scania's head office in Södertälje.
Job summary
The assignment as Group Financial Controller, implies to work in a team of colleagues with different topics within group accounting. The work tasks in general are group accounting as well as follow-up and analysis of reporting from the Scania entities in period closings and year-end reporting. We work with both Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and SAP BCS for reporting and consolidation. Further tasks are participation in projects and work groups, ad hoc assignments and work with continuous improvements.
This role will have the special responsibility area of Equity and include the following tasks:
• Follow-up and analysis of Equity from a group perspective
• Responsible for accounting/reporting of structural changes such as acquisition, mergers and internal restructuring
• Responsible for the shareholding register
• Acquisition/divestment analysis
• Responsible for the process of impairment of shares
• Responsibility for the equity note in Annual Reports
• Support to the Scania entities in reporting of shares, dividends, capital injections etc.
Your profile
We are looking for a person with a degree in finance or business with experience within Group Accounting. We believe that you have a great interest in working with Group Accounting issues from a practical, analytical and system perspective. You are used to work with Group reporting/accounting applications and are an experienced Excel user. Since we work in a global environment, you need to be able to communicate in both English and Swedish.
Personal skills
To be able to solve complex tasks you need to be analytical as a person and have high problem solving skills. The ability to focus on details without losing grip of the big picture is essential in order to succeed in this role. A service-minded and solution-oriented attitude is something we place great value in, therefore you need to have both social and communicative skills in this position that exposes you to both internal and external contacts.
