Being part of GTT, Volvo Group IP (VGIP) develops and governs the Group IP Plan and IP principles. The Group IP Plan aims to drive cost-effective creation and use of IP to support profitability, competitiveness and growth across products, supply chain and R&D. The Group IP Plan provides a harmonized, impact focused plan for IP management anchored in business priorities for the entire Group. It addresses IP management at GTT, VCE, VBC and VPC, and gives guidance to all internal stakeholders relevant for the creation, evaluation, management and realization of business value from IP.
Position
Global Head IP Strategy & Portfolio with specific portfolio responsibility for Driveline, Volvo Penta & Volvo Bus.
As Global Head of IP Strategy & Portfolio you are business accountable for the IP right portfolio development, management and use, within your portfolio area. You are also a key force in driving the global transformation towards increasingly business-driven IP management within the Volvo Group.
Your work tasks range between IP Plan definition, specific project- and inventor support and business-anchored IP target setting. To succeed in your task, you work in a cross-functional portfolio team containing IP Intelligence, IP Portfolio partners, Patent Attorneys and IP Legal in order to address and act on IP issues with stakeholders throughout the Volvo Group.
The position promises a unique mix of challenges, pushing you to create and maintain relations with colleagues across continents, functions and Group Companies such as Penta and Bus.
You will report to the Group Director IP Strategy & Portfolio, in a role with executive management visibility.

Qualifications
• M.Sc. in engineering, law, finance or other relevant degree
• Active interest in technology, society and the global competitive business landscape
• Demonstrated experience from managing cross-functional teams and driving change
• Ability to move and act vertically within the Volvo Group with confidence and credibility
• Ability to first define strategy, then translate it to tasks, activities and priorities
• General communication excellence
• Fluent in English
