Our group, Crank- & Power Cylinder Unit (PCU) systems, is part of Powertrain Engineering based in Gothenburg. We are proud product owners and accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase. We are excited about the future of the combustion engine since it is full of exciting technical challenges. We are responsible for developing Heavy Duty Engine platform solutions on systems and components within our area of responsibility. The group has nine highly skilled engineers with different engineering roles. In order facilitate an innovative environment we are actively working to create a diverse group that will include and utilize our different experiences in a good way. We are now seeking a Global Component Responsible (GCR) working components developed in cooperation with the supplier developed components in the Crank & PCU system for Heavy Duty Engines which includes components such as pistons, piston rings, piston cooling jet, bearings, bushings, dampers, air compressor and Power Take Out. In this role you will manage development and releases of newly developed components, provide input to the roadmaps, take part of as well as driving the development work from idea to implementation including maintenance of our components.
WHO ARE YOU?
You are passionate about developing technically heavy components with high complexity and motivated by the challenge to develop the combustion engine to meet the future demands of carbon neutral products. You find the opportunity to impact the demands and requirements of components in the Crank & PCU system intriguing. The possibility to explore new technologies and find synergies while developing the best system components inspires you. In your previous positions you have been working close with suppliers and together developed combustion engine components. You also have well documented experience from development of most of the listed components: pistons, piston rings, piston cooling jet, bearings, bushings, dampers, air compressor and Power Take Out.
You have a strong drive, are curious and inquisitive. You are willing to develop yourself as well as our team and way of working. As a person, we believe that you have customer focus, service minded attitude and a result-oriented mindset, which will help you to take on challenging work assignments in a successful way. Since you will be working with a broad and global network we think that you have excellent collaborative skills and are fluent in written and spoken English. In addition to this, you have the ability to learn quickly when faced with new issues and take the lead as product owner.
