The role as Gear Technology Engineer within Method development at Volvo Construction Equipment in Eskilstuna will give you the opportunity to be a member of a new department where you will be responsible for the method-development in the "Bevel gear" area. You will be part of a highly creative group where you will focus on leading cutting-edge technology method development.

You decide which method to use for development of bevel-gears, you make sure that we are using the best methods and that we keep ourselves in the lead of the method-development area.

This new department is in a start-up phase and we can offer you a dynamic position where you have a strong possibility to influence and point out directions for the coming gear-kits. You are leading the work in your technical area and supports the organization with your knowledge.

Work responsibilities:

• Lead the bevel gear method development, create structures and processes.
• In early phases contribute to product introductions, changes and pre-studies.
• Proactively seek knowledge and information within bevel-gear method development, benchmark the area across the world.
• Create the method and process standards and to manage and follow-up that we meet them successfully.
• Create training-material within method-area.
• Prepare information, facts and numbers for investments and budgets in close cooperation with other responsible areas.
• Follow up and steer tool-costs.
• Decide on which tools and methods to use.

Your background:

• BSc or MSc in engineering or equivalent education.
• Relevant work experience working with Bevel-gear.
• Some experience in designing tools for Bevel-gear
• Minimum 5 years of experience within gear-development
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
