There is now an opportunity for you to be part in the development of autonomous transport solutions. We are now looking for a Functional Safety Manager that will be part of the Safety team in Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S)

This is how you could make an impact
Your mission will be to contribute as a Functional Safety Manager with good understanding in developing products according to the Machinery Directive. You will be responsible to specify and review technical concepts and solutions and ensure that the safety requirements are fulfilled for our autonomous products. The product flora contains both road vehicles and machines.
You will also be responsible for defining format and structure for the setup of Safety cases for ongoing projects and support the organization to define and compile the evidence needed for the Safety Case.
You will need to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and connect cross-functional teams in the development of our operational strategies. This requires you to inspire trust and confidence in your way of working with colleagues and management.

Qualifications:
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Software, Mechatronics or equivalent
Several years of experience working with either machines or road vehicles within the Safety area
Good Knowledge of safety engineering processes (Hazard and Operability Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis etc.)
Good Knowledge in development according to safety Standards such as ISO12100, ISO13849, ISO17757, ISO26262, SOTIF or equivalent
Documentation experience and good documentation skills
Fluent in English, written and spoken
