Position Summary
We're looking for a skilled and talented front-end developer to join our team. You will be tasked with crafting beautiful, standards compliant markup, bringing pages to life with gracefully degrading and accessibility minded Javascript and AJAX features, taking designs and turning them into beautiful, CSS-driven templates and all of the other things a magical, all-powerful front end developer must do in order to save the princess and unlock the next castle.
Responsibilities:
• Take designs from PSD to XHTML and forward-thinking CSS
• Develop code which is compatible on various browser (IE, Firefox, Opera, Sarafi, Chrome)
• Develop beautiful and fun functionality and gorgeous effects with Javascript
and jQuery
• Fix bugs fast in unfamiliar code
Requirements:
• Ability to take a PSD and turn it into a pixel-perfect page
• Expert fluency in W3C compliant HTML/XHTML/CSS
• Proficiency with a Javascript framework (we use jQuery)
• Experience building AJAX applications
• Expert knowledge of browser quirks and limitations
• Self-motivated engineer who can take the initiative and work effectively both independently and as part of a team of engineers
We'd love to see:
• Design chops
• Experience of developing RIA project (we prefer GWT)
• Basic knowledge in PHP, MySQL development
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment with a VCS (we use Subversion)
