We believe you have experience of working with food and that you hold qualifications in Sales, Business Management or equivalent. You have experience of working with Food Operations e.g. Country Food Operations Manager and you bring experience from working with food in store Logistics, or food production, or food meet customer or food equipment and sustainable operations. Furthermore you keep proven record of senior leadership with a customer and consumer focused mind-set. In addition you have experience of developing and implementing action plans, providing directions and follow up goals. You hold proven ability to prioritise and organise work and the work of others, to make the most efficient use of time. Also you keep proven record of successful business development and performance.
You have knowledge in following areas:
• the IKEA Concept, Vision and Business idea, Culture and Values, IKEA Business Model and IKEA leadership
• extensive knowledge of IKEA food operations and knowledge about sustainable operations
• IKEA operational compliance and food safety standards, HACCP and local food legislation
• on how to initiate, plan, execute, control and close cross functional projects
• about the market environment, expectations from the customers today and tomorrow
As a person you demonstrate strong IKEA leadership skills with the ability to communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice. You have the ability to navigate and lead in a complex, unknown and fast changing environment as well as the ability to collaborate and build trustful relationships. Your analytical skills are well-developed and you understand and use facts to promote progress and change. In addition you have the ability to apply industry trends, outlooks and emerging trends.
ABOUT THE JOB
The main objective for this role is to drive food operational excellence leading to safe, consistent high food quality and a joyful customer experience within all customer and co-worker meeting points. You will support the markets to drive growth, improved profit and brand position by providing optimized, standardised and digitalised solutions, tools and ways of working for food operations. It will be important to drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered. In this role you will subject matter expert for one part of food operations e.g. food in store Logistics, or food production, or food meet customer or food equipment and sustainable operations.
You will:
• secure the implementation of the food operations strategy and contribute to the IKEA business plan
• provide operational standards, procedures, ways of working, solutions, tools and KPI in food operations
• identify opportunities with markets and other stakeholders to develop and improve food operations
• support market with specific development needs, share best practise and facilitate standardisation
• analyse food operations performance, act on deviations and initiate improvements
• manage, analyse and develop food operational reviews
• support analysis, lead implementation and fulfilment of food related sustainability commitments
• act as a business expert/partner to provide food operations expertise to markets and other stakeholders
• work across functions within INGKA Group and collaborate with other IKEA companies
• ensure knowledge transfer and information sharing to, as well as between, the markets
• identify competence needs in partnership with Food CoE and act as a subject matter expert when developing learning solutions together with People & Culture
In this role you will report to the Food Operations Manager.
