About the role
We are now looking for a financial controller to join our team who will be responsible for the management accounting operations of the company such as production of periodic financial reports, revenue and costs analysis, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to develop business profitability and raise financial awareness to non-finance personnel. The controller will also be required to enhance the accuracy and detail of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with accounting principles.
Your responsibilities in selection
• Proactively ensure excellence and continuous improvements in project controlling, financial controlling, business controlling, and reporting.
• Act as an advisor, business partner and a go-to-person for questions related to finance and operational performance
• Contribute in business development activities
• Participate in systems development by specifying, analyzing and articulating needs and technical specifications
• Act as an ambassador for digital tools and modern ways of working
• Utilize of ERP systems on a super user level
• Evaluate and improve accounting and internal control systems
• Job costing analysis, forecasting and customer and product profitability
• Develop and implement key performance indicators
• Conduct benchmark reporting and studies of company operations
• Conduct financial closing and budget related work
• Validate stock variances
• Drive adhoc based investigation, analysis and presentations to stakeholders across the organization
• Implement policies and governance structures
Your profile
• Academic record (Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics or similar)
• A minimum of 2 years of working experience in accounting, controlling or QBE. Manufacturing or costing background is an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge in MS-Office applications, including Office 365
• Experience in ERP systems and reporting tools
• Excellent communicator with language skills in both English and a Nordic language (written and spoken language)
• Accurate, structured with strong analytical and arithmetical skills and big attention to details, combined with "hands-on" mentality to solve short term challenges
• Proactive approach with a desire to create change
• Ambition to achieve results and ability to work independently
• Competitive mindset and a fast learner
• Good team player
Further, the financial controller is expected to be a strong partner in ensuring effective planning, execution and governance of processes and projects. Hence, the financial controller supports all parts of the organization to identify, articulate, measure and eliminate bottlenecks, and facilitate continuous improvements. The controller provide the financial link between many departments, working closely with multiple stakeholders on different levels. The role includes project controlling, financial controlling, business controlling, reporting, system expertise as well as governance and compliance.
