As a part our continuing finance transformation journey, we are building digital finance operating structure based on automation, data and analytics to drive the operationalization of technology capabilities, re-skilling of finance teams and driving digitalization within the global finance function.
We are now looking for an experienced data and analytics professional with a finance background to lead the development of a finance data & analytics hub at Volvo Cars. This role will lead the design and development of flexible and extensible finance analytics hub setup that encompass people, process and technology to deliver tangible value insights. The role will be a key enabler for better analytics capabilities and more sophisticated use of data for finance teams and deploy its capabilities across various aspects of finance function at Volvo Cars.
What you'll do
You'll be responsible for the data and visual analytics strategy development within finance as well as its long-term execution plan to ensure the success of the Finance analytics hub.
You will develop analytics delivery model throughout finance organization and set up a reporting factory, in liaising with other teams. This requires interaction with various other stakeholders within Volvo Cars to maximize collaboration around use of tools, governance etc.
Other tasks will be to setup and managing a team of our analytics specialists including set priorities, allocate resources, and guarantee delivery quality and timing for the finance data & analytics hub deliveries. You will also lead the development of our team's analytical skills and competencies by identifying skill gaps, directing recruitment and selecting relevant learning activities.
You will be responsible for the development of advanced analytics and statistical models to support functional and new business models.
Do you fit the profile?
We have high expectations on you as an individual, to bring a good combination of broad-based business, leadership, and functional experience. The right candidate has hands on experiences of key financial and business processes as well as good understandings of controlling in a manufacturing environment.
Your background probably consist of a bachelor's degree in Finance/accounting or Business and extensive relevant experience in applying data and visual analytics effectively in the finance domain.
You understand & articulate data in the context of financial reporting and decision-making as well as the commercial implications of analytic solutions. You have a proven ability to create advanced analytical models that are fit for purpose and scalable. The position require good oral and written communication skills with extensive experience in explaining complex technical concepts in simple terms. Knowledge of risk analytics is added advantage.
The position includes travelling.
