At Logistics we work with Outbound, Inbound, Customs and Logistics engineering. We are transforming into a global organisation working with Asia Pacific and the Americas region. Our focus for this position at Outbound Logistics is to work with EMEA shipments. In the department, we have functions like Yard management, Forecasting & Planning plus Business IT.
The Team at Transport planning consists of 8 persons with both woman and men. We are working with Road and Ocean transports in a global seamless flow. We will have an exciting autumn and launch new carriers on several markets. We are working with our Aspired Culture, having ground rules and supporting each other. Backup solutions are managed within the team and that is a way to drive competence development.

At the moment we are expanding and building up an in-house Export Document Handling team. As a export document handler you will daily monitor and co-ordinate the export process at Volvo Cars including documents like; Packing list, Arab certificate, Non wood certificate, Marine policy, Insurance certificate, ARC Angola, On Demand invoices, Letter Of Credit instructions, Legalization from Embassies, POD Arab countries. You will stay in daily contact with Transport planners and secure that shipping documents like Sea way Bills or Bill of Ladings are submitted with couriers in time, providing our markets with timely and correct information about their export handling documents. Included in the task is to provide internal documents like Certificate Of Origin (COO), Certificate Of Conformity (COC) and other documents. Furthermore we need to provide legalizations from Chambers of Commerce.
Main responsibilities
* To act in cross-functional teams of people in VCG and Carriers in order to develop and improve the document handling process from a performance, quality, lead-time and cost view
* Work with SRM purchase orders for your suppliers
* Work with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for your areas
* Monitor and co-ordinate activities in The Outbound logistics document process incl. National Sales Companies, NSC or Importers and take decisions when deviations occur
* Monitor and co-ordinate activities in events like quarter closings, model year's changes, car launches and NSC open door activities
* Monitor and co-ordinate activities together with the Transport Manager set priorities to support the Volvo Cars business from a holistic point of view
* Prepare Logistics management reports
Required qualifications
* Bachelor degree in Logistics or equivalent experience from the international logistics field. Main competence should be from outbound logistics, freight forwarding, shipping or customs
* Fluent in English, any other language is beneficial
* Experience from Logistics in automotive industry is meritorious
