Working in the Group Accounting department gives you a big opportunity to a wide circle of contacts within Volvo Cars, working globally and cross-functionally, as well as getting a comprehensive view of the financial activities within the group. You will also work with the core business of the company and combine the accounting with the operational view of the business.
Group Accounting consists of 12 dedicated employees and we are now looking for another one. Come and create this new future together with us!
What you'll do
This position is in the Consolidation and Reporting team that is a part of Group Accounting. This position will be a part of the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing process for Volvo Car Group, including both financial analysis on group level as well as other responsibilities within the consolidation process. It will also include participation in different projects, as well as being a part of the continuous development of the Group Accounting function. The role will also include work related to preparation of the external financial quarterly and annual reports.
Your main tasks will include:
* Being a part of the closing process on group level including group consolidation, external and internal financial reporting
* Financial analysis on group level
* Participation in different projects
* Developing accounting and analysis within area of responsibility
* Being a part of the future development of the Group Accounting function
* Ensuring adherence of the Volvo Cars Finance Manual
* Reporting in line with IFRS requirements
* Other areas related to Group Accounting, preparation of external and internal financial reports
Do you fit the profile?
To be able to fully enjoy this position we believe that you have a University Degree in Business Administration (where you majored in finance or accounting) or equivalent. On top of that, you need 4-8 years of experience in finance from a global corporate production setting or audit environment where you have focused on consolidation, group accounting and reporting.
You should also have/be:
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Good knowledge in IFRS accounting standards and group consolidation
* Good knowledge in Excel
* Experience using Hyperion FM (meritorious)

We are looking for an open-minded and driven teamplayer who is motivated by working independently and have a holistic mindset. Since you will be cooperate with many stakeholders, it's important that you have refined communication skills and high level of business acumen. Your analytical skills will also be a key trait in this role.
