We are now looking for an Expert within Group Accounting. The position is in the Consolidation and Reporting team, which is a part Group Accounting. This position will be a part of the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing process for Volvo Car Group, including both financial analysis on group level as well as other responsibilities within the consolidation process. It will also include participation in different projects, as well as being a part of the continuous development of the Group Accounting function. The role will also include work related to preparation of the external financial quarterly and annual reports.
Group Accounting consists of 12 dedicated employees who are responsible for the Volvo Cars consolidation and for providing financial data on consolidated level for Volvo Car Group to ensure timely, accurate and uniform data to internal and external parties.
What you'll do
Working in the Group Accounting department gives you a big opportunity to a wide circle of contacts within Volvo Cars, working globally and cross-functionally, as well as getting a comprehensive view of the financial activities within the group. You will also work with the core business of the company and combine the accounting with the operational view of the business. The responsibility also includes ensuring adherence of the Volvo Cars Finance Manual, preparing monthly and quarterly financial calculations and analysis and reporting in line with IFRS requirements. The position will require extensive contact with different positions within Group Finance, Global Finance Operations and Business and Financial Control as well as with external auditors.
Main Responsibilities
* Being a part of the closing process on Group level including group consolidation and external and internal financial reporting
* Financial analysis on group level
* Participation in different projects
* Develop accounting and analysis within area of responsibility
* Be a part of the future development of the Group Accounting function
* Other areas related to Group Accounting, preparation of external and internal Financial reports
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for a candidate with an university degree in Business Administration (major in finance or accounting) or equivalent. You have approximately 4-8 years of experience in finance from a global corporate production setting or audit environment with experience from consolidation and group accounting and reporting.
The right candidate has good knowledge in IFRS accounting standards and group consolidation as well as Excel and experience using Hyperion FM is beneficial, but not a must. You are fluent in english verbally and in writing.
We are looking for an open-minded and driven team player who has refined communications skills and high level of business acumen. Having a holistic mindset and good analytical skills are also key factors in this role. Further, you are motivated by working independently and being able to contribute on our exciting journey ahead.
