Our projects elucidate how perceived properties such as taste, flavor and texture depend on material properties and processing. We use our unique competence to tailor microstructures with desired functionality for industry and in research challenges. Material characterization regarding e.g. rheological, mechanical and mass transport properties is correlated with advanced microscopy, sensory panels, instrumental aroma determination (GC-MS-O) to design food oral processing and satisfy consumer preferences.
Job Description
You will work with soft material characterization in a team of scientists and experienced experimental specialists form other branches of food and materials science.
Job Requirements
We need an experimental specialist with competence and experience in material science and material chemistry, food science and analytical physical techniques. The work involves techniques such as rheology, mechanical testing, spectroscopy, chromatography, barrier determination and sample preparations. You may have an MSc or PhD or corresponding competence, and industrial experience is valuable. We need a person who independently can plan and perform experimental assignments and cooperate with other specialists as well as with industrial users.
You should have the ability to lead projects and like exploiting research results, as well as interact with industry. You should also be experienced in reporting in English and it is an advantage if you also can communicate in Swedish.
The position permanent and we wish to fill it during the spring. The position will be located in Gothenburg.
