About the Opportunity

We are now hiring a thermal designer to join our team of 20+ highly talented Thermal Designers who support Ericsson globally with our expertise. We collaborate with thermal colleagues at our global R&D Centres in China, Canada & Sweden. What You Will Do

• Drive, foster & participate in an innovative & creative culture
• Conduct Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to support creative development of complex electronic assemblies.
• Support the design and analysis of thermal management solutions for various applications.
• Conduct thermal simulations and analyses to validate designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal designs into overall product development.
• Keep updated with industry trends and advancements in thermal design technology.
• Validate simulation results through lab testing and prototype evaluations to ensure the thermal performance.
• Generate detailed technical reports, providing simulation outcomes and recommendations for improvements.
• Analyse & present numerical and experimental results to stakeholders
• Perform trouble shooting & customer support when needed
• Help to drive continuous improvement of tool and process efficiency
• Manage Lessons Learned & feedback findings to teams

The Skills You Bring

• M. Sc. or Ph.D. level education in fluid dynamics, thermal engineering, aerospace or equivalent
• 1-5 years of experience in simulations & measurements. Good scripting skills (C, MATLAB, Python etc.). Experience using AI/ML libraries is a plus
• Good understanding of heat & mass transfer and fluid dynamics principles
• Skilled in building CFD Models (using tools like Flotherm, Fluent etc.) with appropriate simplifications representing reality
• Proven record to work in diverse and cross discipline teams and have a genuine interest in supporting others
• Curiosity and an internal drive to take on new challenges
• Good communication skills, proficient in spoken and written English
• Ability to drive work independently and deliver results on time
• Confidence to take fact-based, timely, and courageous decisions without letting prestige get in the way
• Accountability - taking full responsibility for your own actions, performance, and career growth
