Provinn AB is looking for an experienced antenna specialist to become member of our EM/EMC team. The team's responsibilities cover all aspects from specification through consultant services, education, numerical analyses, all the way to final verification. Our main customers are today within the automotive and telecommunications industries.
Your main role in the team will be to design, develop, modify, and evaluate RF antennas and antenna systems. You should also ensure that product designs meet our customer requirements in terms of costs, results and manufacturability of end products. Other functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Participation in related research projects
• Performing numerical analyses of microwave components and antennas using commercial software
• Preparing and review reports, writing procedures and related design documentation to develop, analyse and test components, sub-systems, and systems

Required qualifications:
• PhD in antennas, electromagnetics or similar
• At least 5 years of work experience
• Experience in using numerical EM software such as CST, HFSS, WIPL-D, XFDTD, FEKO. Microwave Office and MatLab are also considered essential
• Familiarity with the characteristics and design of various antenna types such as horns, cavity backed aperture coupled patches, wire, and microstrip antennas
• Familiarity with the characteristics and design of soft and hard surfaces, and meta materials for EMC and antenna applications
• Experience using common RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, communication testers) and antenna far- or near-field ranges
• Good knowledge of English in speech and writing
Meritorious qualifications:
• Experience using different wireless communication systems such as GSM/UMTS/CDMA/LTE, 802.11, Bluetooth, and positioning systems (GNSS)
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (CE, FCC, IC, etc.) and their respective certification process
• Familiarity with cellular industry standards and specifications (CTIA, 3GPP, WiFi alliance etc.)
• Experience with factory processes and manufacturing, especially within automotive
• Experience in working with EMC, both practically and by performing numerical analyses
• Knowledge in signal processing, including MIMO and related technologies
Additional requirements:
• Must be able to obtain work permit in Sweden
