Mölnlycke is now looking for a service minded Equipment Engineer with extensive technical knowledge to manage and coordinate equipment within their R&D Laboratory. About this role
As an Equipment Engineer you will be the laboratory equipment expert and responsible for the instrumentation present within the R&D Laboratory at Mölnlycke. You will be responsible for keeping test equipment valid and up to date according to standards and regulations to ensure correct testing conditions. As an Equipment Engineer you play an important and organizing role that communicate and collaborate with laboratory personnel as well as IT, procurement and external suppliers.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities
• Ensure that regulatory demands are followed within the area of laboratory equipment, and that documentation is correct, in the appropriate format and maintained according to the quality system.
• Coordinate maintenance and calibration visits.
• Establish and maintain external contacts with regards to instrumentation, maintenance and calibration.
• Educate and provide mentorship to colleagues within the R&D Laboratory regarding laboratory equipment.
• Continuously strengthen the knowledge and capabilities concerning laboratory equipment by keeping updated on the latest techniques and testing systems relevant to the R&D Laboratory.
• Initiate and maintain calibration and maintenance contracts together with procurement.
• When investing in new equipment, plan and investigate the activities in cooperation with procurement.
Qualifications
• Relevant technical/engineering education.
• Several years' experience in working with equipment in a laboratory environment.
• Great laboratory instrumentation skills and computer knowledge.
• Experience or knowledge of tensile testing equipment is an advantage.
The person we are looking for have good technical knowledge, excellent problem solving capabilities and enjoys using his/her troubleshooting skills. Your personal competencies are of great importance and in order to succeed in this role you must be service minded and have a proactive attitude. You are used to handle multiple responsibilities on a regular basis and it is essential that you have a good ability to structure and prioritize. You have excellent communication skills and a great ability to work collaboratively.
