The mission for this position is to develop and implement pricing strategies for spare parts and tools and attachments in global and local markets in all sales channels to achieve optimized profitability for the company. Enable efficient pricing processes and systems throughout the organization and secure competitiveness through continuous market research. Explore opportunities to include full responsibility for pricing activities for Capital Equipment and digital services long term.
Tasks and responsibilities
* Identify and act on business opportunities to differentiate and enhance pricing strategies and value propositions for markets, customer segments, products and acquired businesses.
* Lead and direct strategic pricing activities and projects safeguarding and enhancing consistency, sustainability and consolidated profitability.
* Prioritize and translate business targets and requirements into pricing policy, process and system requirements throughout the complete pricing organization.
* Continuously improve and develop the price management application used to facilitate efficient global and local processes. Fully implement support model ensure stability and availability of the price management application to all relevant stakeholders.
* Work closely with customer centers to safeguard price adjustment implementation per divisional instructions and follow up on the same.
* Align spare parts, attachments and rock drilling tools pricing with relevant strategies in the Capital Equipment divisions.
* Analyze and take appropriate actions on price trend, currency effect and market trends affecting the profitability and competitiveness of spare parts pricing.
* Fully understand cost development and internal value creation activities through close collaboration mainly with the Controlling, Sourcing, Supply Chain and Marketing functions.
* Facilitate efficient collaboration with Customer Centers and other sales channels relating to parts pricing and relevant processes. This includes, but is not limited to, compliance with recommended price levels, routines, processes and having continuous flow and usage of market intelligence.
* Manage compliance with the transfer pricing policy as defined by OECD; maintaining local operating profitability levels in line with company targets and objectives.
* Analyze relevant facts and information to simulate, administer and communicate price revision.
* Engage, motivate and coach to create lasting results with a positive customer oriented attitude.
* Work proactively to attract, develop and retain key talents to maximize business performance and results by having right people in the right roles with the right competence.
Secure accurate master data for price consistency.
In this position you will have manager/team leader responsibility.
You will report operationally to RDT Vice President Marketing Tools and administratively to PSD Vice President Marketing and RDT Vice President Marketing Tools.
Main KPIs
* Competent pricing organization supporting revenue and profitability targets
* Safeguard that price adjustments are implemented globally
* Market insight and intelligence utilized and applied, securing competitive pricing
* Stable and efficient price management systems and processes
Formal knowledge and experience required
* University degree in relevant field, e.g. Business, Economics or Engineering, or acquired similar competence through experience.
* Minimum five years of experience in strategy, price management and analytics.
* Very strong analytical capabilities with a proven business acumen and customer orientation.
* Proven track record of leadership and change management in a global organization.
* Ability to create buy-in on various levels of the organization through excellent communication and networking skills. To achieve this, you need a strong command in English, both spoken and written. Your presentations need to be clear and convincing.
Location and travel
This position requires international travelling, approximately 30-50 days per year. This position is located in Sweden, Fagersta or Örebro. For non Swedish applicants, local plus conditions applies.
