As an Environment Specialist, you will plan and execute environment-related projects, managing resources and reporting on objectives and progress, improving the environmental performance of ABB Large Motors and Generators division in Sweden.
Being part of our Sustainability Agenda, in this role you will apply your knowledge to assist the business, offering solutions and advice to address a variety of environmental issues, and engaging stakeholders to raise awareness and win commitment to sustainability goals and to drive environmental performance.
This position reports to
Quality Manager
Your responsibilities
Driving continuous improvement by implementing the Group-wide system, tools, training and programs, ensuring a strong focus on the environment throughout the division
Contributing to effective risk management in the business
Ensuring that appropriate environmental equipment and tools are available and used
Aiding business leaders to ensure the organization is compliant with environmental laws, standards and guidelines
Organizing documentation and processes align with policies and standards to prepare for self-assessments and audits
Reporting on and investigating environmental incidents, gathering feedback and communicating lessons learned and best practices
Reporting on environmental performance and on progress in implementation of sustainability objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and sharing best practices with managers and employees

Your background
Experience in coordinating projects, engaging and influencing people
Structural approach to work, strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions
Ability to manage complex issues and work in cross-functional teams
A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
A Bachelor 's or Master 's degree in technical area, preferably in environmental or sustainable technologies, or chemical engineering
Fluency in Swedish and English
Knowledge of chemical legislation and previous involvement in energy saving or process improvement projects is an advantage
