JOB DESCRIPTION
As Engineering Manager for Streaming, you will be responsible for managing a team of highly skilled software developers and driving the team towards its goals. You will have the overall responsibility and your main tasks will include:
Long term planning, including technical roadmap Recruitment Budgeting Teambuilding Appraisal, development and salary talks Allocate resources to projects Follow up and evaluate projects Run the day-to-day operations Speaking partner in technical discussions
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We believe you have a Master’s degree in computer science (or similar) and documented leadership skills. In your past you have managed software development teams, either as a manager or as a project manager.
You have hands-on experience of agile methodologies and you enjoy networking with people in different positions and departments. You lead by example and you’re passionate about software development. You are a person who enjoys taking responsibility and you excel at motivating and encouraging the people you work with.
Experience of successfully managing different stakeholder needs or managing a service-organisation is a plus.
The Streaming-team
The Streaming-team is a team within the Firmware Platform department at R&D. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining the streaming-framework used in Axis products. This means taking an overall responsibility for the streaming-area regarding roadmap, development, architecture, competence and quality. The team works very closely with stakeholders and product management to build components that will be used throughout the Firmware development within R&D, across several departments.
