Electrical Engineer
Sauer-Danfoss in Älmhult, is looking for an Electrical Engineer to design and develop hardware for embedded control systems.
Key responsibilities:
This position is part of a team responsible for the design and development of hardware for digital/analog circuits used in real-time embedded control systems for off-highway vehicles. As an integral member of the team, you will:
• Solve design challenges while developing next generation control system products.
• Display competency with PCB layout and schematic design.
• Oversee qualification of finished product.'
• Work closely with the Software Team, Operations, and Sales & Marketing throughout the product development cycle.
• Partner with customers to develop system solutions for their vehicles.
• Work with suppliers and purchasing to specify components.
• Participate in a global design team with engineers from Europe and North America.
• Display creativity, continuous self-development; demonstrate customer and quality focus, and effectively challenge when appropriate.
Qualifications:
The Engineer selected for this role will have a MSCEE and experience with hardware design, digital/analog, micro-controllers or DSP, CAN communication protocols, digital control knowledge, experience designing to automotive environmental standards (SAE, IEC, EN), and experience doing FMEA’s. Effective communication skills and enjoying collaboration in a team-based environment are essential. Mechanical design skills and experience with electro hydraulic systems are highly desirable. This role includes occasional domestic and international travel.
