hela Sverige You will be part of LV Motors in Västerås. We develop, produce and market AC machines with high performance and a wide variation range within the shaft height range 90-250 millimeters. The unit in Västerås has global product responsibility and is part of a business area with production sites in seven different countries. Our vision is to be ?the world?s best supplier of electrical motors?. We are approximately 300 coworkers and produce around 100,000 motors annually. The business area includes several units with responsibility for development, market and production. The product responsibility is shared between separate units where Västerås has responsibility for small and medium size motors with output power between 1 and 100 kW.
Electrical motors amount to 65 percent of the industry?s energy consumption and there is a large interest from the market and public authorities to reduce the environmental impact associated with motors. In collaboration with colleagues at the Design department, you will design energy efficient motors, which for example are used in pumps, fans, turbines and compressors. You will primarily conduct electrical calculations and design standard motors, but also design customized motors and work with order management. As new laws and regulations are introduced regularly, recalculations of motors will be recurrent tasks. It will also be your job to ensure hand-over of data when products are transferred between our sites. Our customers are primarily machine manufacturers, end customers and distributors. They are mainly operating in Europe, but we are active on all markets. As ABB has production sites worldwide, you will have coworkers in several parts of the world. We have the competence and resource needed to strengthen our market position and you will be an important part of this mission.
You have a Bachelor in Engineering with specialization in Electricity or a technical high school diploma combined with knowledge of electrical design. It is qualifying if you have worked with AC machines, electrical calculations, mechanical design and project management. However, if you are driven and have knowledge of three-phase AC machine operations, you may also be recently graduated. As ABB is a global business group, proficiency in both Swedish and English is required, written and spoken alike. You are a responsible and thorough person with initiative and focus on delivery. Your insight in the overall work and ability to continuously deliver high standard, makes you a strong ABB representative.
