Role overview

We are now on the look-out for a Dispatch Manager who will lead our entire Dispatch & Routing Team responsible for our last-mile delivery. You will be in charge of all of our daily routing to guarantee that each one of our millions of deliveries are on time as promised. This role is critical for our operational side and should appeal to you who enjoys the challenge of merging logistics with state of the art technical platforms. As every second counts in our business, a sense of urgency needs to be at the core of your persona!

From managing the supply side with carriers to driving efficiency in all our deliveries spanning the Nordic Market, you'll be in charge of setting the stage for the most effective routing, whilst leading the full range of levers to measure and improve our last-mile operations. Everything will have a direct impact on Airmee's ability to continue to provide the best delivery experience in the world.

This role calls for a combination of operational mindset, analytics skills, and the interpersonal abilities to manage your Dispatch team and connected stakeholders. This is a data-driven role requiring you to work across the entire Airmee Group, whether it may be handling carrier relations in Gothenburg to setting requirements with the tech team for our Stockholm routes. The role is diverse but with a core focus to further excel our last-mile delivery routes.

Our Terminal is located in Kallhäll, we expect you to work from here to truly immerse yourself in our wonderful world of logistics.

So, what will you do?

• Lead and empower the Dispatch team, motivate and leverage individual team members to continually develop their results across all our operational markets.
• Develop, implement and drive metrics for every aspect of our last-mile-deliveries on a daily basis.
• Ensure that planning and scheduling of our carriers is optimal based on various factors such as forecast, historical trends, vehicles capacity and carrier capabilities.
• Facilitate the flow of information between different stakeholders (tech, sales, customer support, etc.) and lead resolution of any potential issues that impact customer experience and business continuity in the last-mile-delivery environment.
• Work closely with our stakeholders to ensure that there is a constant feedback-loop between dispatch and remaining departments.
• Develop and implement new processes and routines, learning from best practices, to constantly improve our dispatching, cut lead-times and provide a better experience for our e-commerce customers and end-consumers.
• Work closely with our Head of Linehaul to ensure that our entire logistics supply chain is intact and in synchronization for each day.

What we're looking for?

• You can lead by example and expect nothing but the best from your team. You are caring and have a genuine interest in coaching and improving your team members, both as a group and on an individual level
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a dispatch or traffic coordination role.
• Experience and strong track record from either logistics company or startups within logistics (ride-sharing, food delivery, last-mile delivery, etc.) is a plus
• Disciplined organizational skills - you'll need to prioritize and manage tens of ongoing processes and projects simultaneously at a fast pace
• Able to balance the role of the strategist with urgency while simultaneously managing delivering results in a growing and very fast-paced environment.
• Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment through deep analytical thinking
• A high tolerance for calculated risk and constant change and a tremendous drive to achieve and inspire
• Get stuff done attitude: you are not afraid of rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty
• Fluent in Swedish and English
