To provide key client relationship to a major client or clients through relationships with senior executives and strategic leaders in the client organization in a large market or part of a large region. Grows revenue by leveraging the full company portfolio and identifying new business opportunities. Co-ordinates the sales, business & service lines at a regional and/or market level to ensure effective execution against client needs and the company revenue targets.
Principal Accountablities:
• Ensure the quarterly and full year revenue targets are met by providing leadership to the sales team and coordinate the involvement of the company resources (marketing, sales specialists, consulting, client services) in actively promoting the full company offerings to anticipate and meet client needs.
• Ensure that sales team is fully staffed, trained and deployed to maximize sales coverage.
• Develop and execute account plan(s) and monitor progress.
• Adjust plan accordingly to consider new company offerings as well as significant changes to business conditions.
• Assign accounts/territories and associated revenue goals to teams.
• Direct the activities of a sales team to achieve or exceed the assigned revenue and growth goals in large, complex accounts or sales territory.
• Take proactive role in contract strategy - develop strategy for expanding scope of existing contracts and identifying new business opportunities. As required, may lead negotiations in renewing contract(s) within assigned accounts.
• Develop relationships with key executives and decision-makers within assigned accounts.
• Manage the overall relationship to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with product/service offerings.
• May proactively work within global and regional account/sales management in the pursuit of high profile business.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• A minimum of seven (7) years relevant sales or account management experience and/or solution sales management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of business intelligence and other offerings within pharmaceutical industry and the client's business and the pharmaceutical industry at large.
