Why work with Oatly?

Our growth is fast - and accelerating, as more and more people choose to switch to a plant-based diet for the sake of their health and the planet. If you're thinking you want to be part of making sure Oatly can actively make the world a better place, we offer you a great opportunity to take an active part in driving a shift to a more sustainable food system.

We are now looking for our new Director Nutritional Health to our Public Affairs & Sustainable Eating Department- how exciting!

Here's what you would do:

As a Director Nutritional Health at Oatly, you will be part of establishing and developing a shift in the food system towards more sustainable alternatives!

In the role, you will take the lead on developing our global nutrition hub. You will develop and ensure implementation of our nutrition mission as well as nutritional guidelines, integrating nutrition expertise into relevant decision-making processes and communication.

The role will be placed in our Malmö and/or Lund offices in Sweden, or possibly in any of our relevant EMEA markets, such as UK, the Netherlands or Germany (with regular presence in Sweden).

In your role you will:

• Ensure that our business is supported with evidence-based nutritional expertise

• Be a credible and active voice in the societal debate on sustainable eating and nutrition

• Lead and develop the Global Nutritional team, supporting local nutrition experts

More in detail, you'll be responsible for:

• Building and leading a team of nutrition experts

• Co-ordinate and validate our nutrition messages across markets

• Support our business on nutrition: this includes integrating nutrition into relevant cross-functional decision-making processes within Oatly, such as innovation and product development, quality & regulatory affairs, public affairs, proactive and reactive communication, campaigns and sustainability.

• Work closely with our Food Science department and make sure that we are up to speed on the latest relevant scientific findings on nutrition

• Monitor and engage in relevant political processes and legislation linked to nutrition on prioritized markets

• Be a spokesperson and communicate to relevant stakeholders on nutrition and sustainable eating

This is the job today - but who knows what tomorrow brings? Oatly is still growing and transforming, so being comfortable with continuous change will really help you grow in the role.

Does this sound like you?

First of all, you are joining us to make a difference. We are looking for a brilliant leader who is passionate about sustainable eating.

You have experience from leading teams with success and are a committed and inspiring spokesperson on the transition to plant-based eating, as well as a result- and improvement driven foodie!

You are interested in science, and based on scientific facts, you're ready to make the case for sustainable and plant-based eating to tackle the challenges linked to climate change as well as to public health.

You have strong knowledge on sustainable eating and are either a registered dietitian or a qualified nutritionist and have experience from the food industry.

To be the perfect fit for Oatly, we believe that you have a thirst for knowledge and that you are eager to learn more!

You are a structured person who can find your way and manage your team and priorities, even during rapid change.

You have social competence and enjoy working independently as well as together with others. As a leader and spokesperson, you are of course excellent at communicating, both verbally and written in English.

You have a good understanding of business aspects and can put in relation different market needs and mechanisms with the overall nutrition aspect.

Your professional requirements:

• Qualified nutritional expertise paired with few years working experience

• At least two years of leadership experience

• Interest in influencing and knowledge of regulatory processes and policies

• Experience from the food industry is a strong asset

Finally, we count on that you share our values and have a great interest to carry out our mission in order to make the world a little bit better.

We welcome people from all backgrounds that think sustainability, health and transparency are mega important. So, send in that CV, cross your fingers, and whisper a little prayer to the powers that be. It will be fun, or at least a good time. Promise!
