We are currently looking for a Design Engineer/Creo Specialist for the transmission department of our customers in the automotive industry. The work will be performed out on customer site in Gothenburg or Trollhättan depending on what customer you will work for.
Work description:
We are looking for a Design Engineer for the transmission dept. The focus will be on development of large 3D models in new transmission projects. Nevertheless, some tasks will also include updates of our current components.
The group is responsible for a variety of transmission components, like clutches, clutch control, gearshift systems, retarder etc. The job will mainly focus on power-take-offs, including design of mechanical parts such as housings, bearings, shafts and close supplier collaboration.
Tasks:
• Advanced 3D modeling and drawing preparation for the components.
• Contribute in refinement of our CAD methodology and documentation of the methods.
• Run minor calculations in Pro-Mechanica.
• Good understanding of simulation and CAE results.
• Be responsible for CAD models
• Develop and review design proposals for the component area.
• Create drawings
• Perform tolerance studies.
• Discussions with calculation engineers
• Machining and assembly feasibility investigations in cooperation with manufacturing
• Cooperation with our testing engineers, purchasing, aftermarket and suppliers.
Qualifications:
You have a M.Sc. degree or equivalent together with several years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Good knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering, such as mechanics, machine elements and materials is requested
• Deep knowledge from 3D modeling and drawing/drafting in ProEngineer/CREO
• Good communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Driven, structured and target oriented.
• You are a team player that also manages to perform on your own.
• Knowledge of powertrain engineering.
• A quick learner
• You must have experience from mechanical components i.e. Rotating parts such as gears, shafts, synchronizers, bearings and/or housings from either manual (SMT) or automatic (AMT) gearboxes.
