The newly formed department Sustainable Processes and Manufacturing aims to develop future resource efficient operations through focusing areas like chemical, environmental and occupational health risk assessment and legislation, manufacturing engineering, resource efficient manufacturing & product development and process development. The department consists of about 35 employees today and are involved in all stages of innovation; from research, concept and methods development to product development, manufacturing and aftermarket.
Position Description
As department manager you report directly to the Senior Vice President of Site Sweden. You are responsible for managing the department, consisting of two groups. You lead your management team with a clear focus on achieving targets set and financial results through people management to inspire the departments teamwork spirit. You are responsible for developing a long term vision and strategies in line with needs defined in our business plan and in close collaboration with technology area directors within VTEC. As part of building long term strategy you work with constant development of competencies and methods. As department manager you will also work closely with our customers to provide competitive and innovative solutions to their challenges. You will do this through cooperation with other departments, sites and functions within VTEC.

Qualifications:
Masters degree in engineering or equivalent
Experience from line management
Experience from one or several of the following areas:
chemical, environmental and occupational health risk assessment and legislation
manufacturing engineering
resource efficient manufacturing and product development
process & operations development
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and in writing)
Fluency in English
Merits:
Experience of participation in and collaboration with other research partners such as universities, institutes, suppliers or competitors.
