One of the Swedens most exciting Tech companies are now looking for a Data Scientist/Analyst to join in a consultant assignment with big possibilities to land in a fixed contract after the assignment!

Are you a consultant with passion for making as many people as possible understand data using aesthetic visualizations - everything from statistical charts to infographics to data art?

Do you have an interest in technology cost optimization - and can drive projects end-to-end - and potentially have more than heard about Public Cloud Billing and FinOps?

Can you thrive in a 'controlled chaos' and enjoy working with a team who 's rapid conversations move across multiple dimensions in software development, infrastructure, finance and procurement - and of course also often into audio streaming?

Context
Company's Technology Procurement function, part of our Platform Mission, would like to expand our Cloud FinOps team with a Data Scientist consultant focused on Dashboard Design for at least 6 months.
We influence our R&D, procurement, and financial functions - as well as our external partners - to make well-informed decisions about infrastructure and managed services by providing self-service insights.
This role enables real-time collaboration making stakeholders for our streaming delivery costs understand its unit economic health in a financial and engineering context. This job contains technical aspects, working hands-on with our cloud billing data, master data, and most of all our dashboard designs and configurations. We want to make changes rapidly and iteratively to quickly find and adapt to our internal customers needs, making flexibility and user research core to this work.
Since 2019 we are a distributed work from anywhere-style team, with experienced, playful and passionate colleagues located in Stockholm, London, and New York.

What you will do
Work within one of our teams - a not so engineering-dense one, but one who understands the business value of data - and its Product Owner to design and iteratively develop new and existing solutions, mainly built out using Tableau
Takes ownership of projects pertaining to visualizing and producing reports and dashboards for cloud costs, as well as other technology costs, and their trends/shifts related to business metrics, using a wide range of data sources
Share your knowledge with our team, empowering them to grow and be ready to operate and tweak solution onwards
Work with data engineering to mitigate gaps in datasets, including how to label/tag resources.
Improve performance where needed, our datasets are substantial in size and grow quickly.
Explore new conceptual ideas how to influence engineering trade-offs and behaviors, interacting with the users of dashboards to identify improvement opportunities
Work with us at least 3 days/week, ideally full time, mainly virtually and occasionally in-person at one of our offices in Stockholm, London or New York

Who you are
You have both wide and deep understanding of Tableau as a platform - and this is something you are willing to share with others hands-on
You care deeply about design aspects of visual communication, reducing the cognitive load on users of self-service products, to convey insights
You are experienced with ETL large datasets and performance optimisations
You care about getting the fundamentals of data science right
You may have a passion for behavioural economics, able to alter people's actions in a predictable way by use of both insights and nudges
