Role Overview:
As a Data Engineer specializing in Data Mesh, you will be a key player in the design and implementation of our decentralized data infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, applying Data Mesh principles to ensure data autonomy, discoverability, and quality across various domains. If you are excited about breaking down data silos and promoting a collaborative, domain-centric approach to data engineering, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with domain teams to understand their data needs and design domain-specific data products.
Implement and maintain data pipelines following Data Mesh principles, promoting autonomy and decentralized data ownership.
Build and enhance data infrastructure components such as data domains, data products, and federated data governance.
Leverage cloud-native technologies and containerization to ensure scalability and flexibility.
Champion best practices in data engineering, ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on implementing Data Mesh principles.
Comprehensive experience designing, developing, and deploying data pipelines
Understanding of data lakehouse concepts, setups, and data lakehouse design patterns
Solid programming skills in Python(Scala/Java secondary), grip on SQL
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with CI/CD, good to have Terraform + GitLab expertise
Good communication skills and ability to cooperate with diverse teams and customers
Proficiency in English & knowledge of Swedish an advantage
Passion for promoting data autonomy, discoverability, and decentralized data governance.
