hela Sverige Group Customs & Trade Management organization is responsible to ensure compliance to customs rules & regulations, and optimize Volvo Group processes to reduce duty costs globally. We are around 80 employees around the world with expertise in Customs regulations. We now need to strengthen the Swedish Customs Declaration Team with a Customs Declarant.
This is the assigned role with the responsibility of performing primarily customs declarations and related reporting. Perform and give support to day-to-day compliant customs declarations on behalf of the regarded Legal entity of Volvo Logistics or Service Market Logistics partners and customers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Perform and follow-up of all types of customs declarations and related documents.
• Give support to other Volvo departments and brokers making customs declarations for Volvo
• Perform necessary checks when preparing declarations: value determination, HS code classification, shipment information, origin documents and other needed documents.
• Handle deviations, and collect missing information/documentation.
• When authorized for the local customs authority, the role is signing the import- or export declaration for submission to the local customs authority.
• Handle deviations, problems and customs claims or investigations.
• Take corrective and preventive actions. Secure continuous improvement of own tasks.
• Maintain good relationship with local customs authorities.
• Give support to country manager and other customs roles.
