Power Quality Solutions (PQS) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures, and sells flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) on the global market. FACTS technology is used to improve voltage stability and grid reliability, and in combination to increase power transmission through power lines. PQS projects are classified as critical infrastructures and hence cybersecurity requirements and standard compliance are expected from all our stakeholders.
As our Customer System Security Officer, you will ensure that the cybersecurity deployments in delivery projects are meeting customers' and Hitachi Energy's requirements. You will be driving the alignment and potential certification of relevant cybersecurity standards within the organization, along with strong enforcement of such requirements in project deployments and service offerings, all to ensure cybersecurity is built into our daily practices. You will guide our internal organization and strategic partners and will work with our customers to understand their needs and specifications as well as regulative requirements and convert that into innovative and cost-efficient technical solutions well integrated with the overall system. You will have a strong interface to the organization's global cybersecurity community and to various internal functions and departments.
Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for security of project delivery and services for the product group of PQS
You will drive project and service activities to protect the company reputation and business against cybersecurity risks and threats: identify gaps by monitoring activities and ensure deployment of effective security actions
You will ensure that our technical solution is developed and applied in our tenders and projects and working closely with other technical owners in the organization
You are active in reviewing proposals, project specifications and technical solutions done by our partners and suppliers
You will support vulnerability management and incident handling processes for projects and services
You initiate and sustain sharing of best practices and standardized technical solutions
You follow the development in customer specifications and industry standards and ensure our solutions adhere to the best in class and updated standards
To achieve this, you will need to have frequent contact with other engineering groups, project managers, local Hitachi Energy offices and our customers.
Your background
You need to have at least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity threats and defense (e.g. technology, procedures) and with focus on industrial systems for being successful in this position
You are well familiar with the global cybersecurity standards and have a solid technical background in industrial automation, preferably in the electrical sector
You preferably hold some formal cybersecurity certifications, like CISSP, CISA, CRISK, CISM
As a person you are driven and a teamwork-oriented achiever with a leadership style that allows your teams to perform independently
You need to be organized, responsive and solution-driven, with a strong focus on delivering results and serving the customer.
You have a formal training in relevant engineering, e.g. electrical engineering or computer science
An outgoing personality is a must, as this job entails a great deal of customer contacts and close cooperation with colleagues and suppliers.
This position involves a great deal of customer contacts and close cooperation with colleagues worldwide; therefore, English is required, both verbally and written; Swedish is considered as an additional plus.
