In this role you have a background as architect, Store design or equivalent and minimum 5 years of experience in executing Expansion Planning & Store Design and Retail Establishment Process. You also have multicultural experience and you have experience from working with new CMP projects and major rebuilds.

As a person you are able to apply knowledge of industry trends, outlooks and emerging technologies as well as meet quality standards and produce quality work products. You make a direct effort to achieve long-term sustainable profit on project level and you can work and perform with flexibility and simplicity. Furthermore you understand customer needs in order to challenge common ways. You are appreciated for communicating and presenting clearly within specific areas of expertise using IKEA tone of voice.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Customer Meeting Point Planning Specialist you will be responsible for planning the exterior and interior design of the building for new CMPs or major rebuilds, as part of planning projects, on the basis of the IKEA Brand and latest conceptual design. You will also be responsible for providing markets with solutions adapting to local pre-requisites and regulations.
You will:
• design the outside of the CMP according to the conceptual drawings, ensuring a strong IKEA visual identity based on market input
• design the inside of the building according to the IKEA architecture conceptual solutions, being the preconditions for an efficient and effective commercial lay-out based on market input
• optimize the main flows of the CMP for high operation efficiency (on a high level)
• be responsible for the design work for Store In Shape As New Investments which impact the store architecture
• secure a low execution cost and take into account local specific regulations
• work with several CMP projects in parallel and with clearly defined time frames
• cooperate with the CMP Planning Manager who is the natural speaking partner towards architects, planning specialists and the market organisation
• work across functions within Ingka Group and collaborate with other IKEA units
• drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values
In this role you will report to the Customer Meeting Point Planning Manager.
This role is located in Malmö.
