Hitachi Energy is in an exciting and expansive phase, and we are looking to expand our team with an experienced Environmental Specialist. As an Environmental Specialist at Hitachi Energy, you will have the opportunity to work for a leading technology company that is committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our environmental and energy management system is compliant with regulations, standards, and policies. The Environmental Specialist has a key role in the organization and will be responsible for implementing environmental and energy programs that support the company 's sustainability strategy. You will work with a team of experts in a dynamic and challenging environment where you will be encouraged to develop skills and expertise within the organization. Your Responsibilities:
Ensure that environmental and energy management system and programs are compliant with regulations, standards, and policies
Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
Monitor and track environmental performance metrics and report progress to management
Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on environmental policies and procedures
Keep up-to-date with environmental regulations and industry trends and provide recommendations on how to improve environmental performance

Your Background:
University degree in environmental science, environmental management, chemistry, or a related field combined with extensive experience
Experience in environmental compliance, management, or liability. A background in occupational health and safety is an advantage
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements
Experience in ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 is a plus
Excellent communication and coordination skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and to build internal and external networks, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluency in Swedish and English is a must, both written and spoken
