Controller

The Controller plays an important role in driving the development within the finance department together with 4 other colleagues. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for key tasks related to monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting, but also in driving detailed analysis of our development- and operational departments on profitability and performance measures especially on project level. Interaction and close cooperation with Kapsch Group Controlling and Accounting in the headquarters in Vienna as well as the rest of the Kapsch Group are important aspects of this role.
Main tasks and duties:
• Maintain controllership of projects and analyzing and reporting on variances.
• Take responsibility in developing the controller function and the analysis of operations.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting package on performance of all dimensions of the company.
• Identify and highlight areas for improving profitability and efficiency.
• Take initiative on variance analysis and resolving discrepancies and drive improvements.
• Drive and challenge the organization in regards to set targets and plans on a project basis.
• Align with CFO, Accounting Manager and Accountant to drive key activities for the month-, quarterly and year end closing process in regards to timeliness and accuracy.
• Perform detailed cost- and variance analysis against budget and previous years.
• Take measures and interact with global peers and functions to ensure that Global Projects are planned in accordance with corporate guidelines.
• Be an active force in each forecast and budgeting processes in preparations, offer support to the business organization, securing data quality and accuracy.
• Develop a solid understanding of our ERP system Navision as well as our financial reporting and analysis tools such as CCP, HFM, PIB and Cockpit.
• Drive the monthly sales forecast.
The position is based in our office in Jönköping.
We are looking for someone who has a financial education at university level.
You have some years of experience in a similar role. You have a good knowledge of IT systems, such as Excel, Navision, HFM and Basware.
You master Swedish and English very well. A good understanding of German is a merit.
